Reminder: For orders to count towards your September sales, they must be submitted with payments by midnight central time on September 30th. That's 1AM ET 10/1 and 10PM PT on 9/30.

Weekend Update

If you need assistance with orders on Sunday, September 19th, please call my cell phone at 845-325-6561 or send an email to me because I will be travelling.

Reminder: Please always allow 24-48 hours for me to get your order checked. Emailing or calling right before you want to put it in doesn't always work because I may not be available right that second due to personal or other HGP commitments. If it is a last minute thing, you can always try, but your best bet is to let me know a day or two ahead of when you want to close a party so that you'll have time budgeted. I'm happy to help everyone out, just give me a buzz or an email!

Today is Commission Day

HGP Commissions process today. If you signed up during a kit rebate special and hit your $1500 in August, your $150 should be included in your commission. If you have ACH, your commission will be directly deposited into your bank account and appear in your bank account within the next few days. The length of processing depends on your bank.

You can checkout your commission statement at http://www.homeandgardenparty.com by logging into the Designers Only section under REPORTS : COMMISSION STATEMENTS. If your commission statement ending on 8/31/04 is not live on the site, it simply hasn't generated yet today, so check the page again tonight.

Remembering on September 11th

I wrote the following message in September 2002. It is dedicated to all who made sacrifices & everyone who has been affected by the tragedies on September 11, 2001. With it, I am sending you all hugs & prayers for a peaceful, happy future.

Today, we remember those that lost their lives on 9/11 last year and we celebrate the memories that we shared with those very special people.

Today, we acknowledge the heroes who died saving others and personally give thanks to the heroes that continue to sacrifice to ensure our safety.

Today, we give our hearts to those hurting and hold the hand of someone who lost someone who used to walk the earth with them.

Today, we put aside our pride, trivial issues and grievances and tell our family and friends how much we care.

9/11/01 is a memory. It is with us forever. We can carry it with us with hope or with anger.

Today, I hope you lend a hand up to a stranger and give a friend a hug. Wrap your arms around your family. Ensure that they know that they are loved.

Julia Hope Carlile was born Sunday, September 5th at 7:14 PM. She weighs 7 lbs, is 19 long and has lots of black hair. Proud parents are Amy and Clay Carlile. Very proud and thankful first time grandparents are Penny and Steve Carlile. How to Choose an Ad
Start with your budget & your target audience. Who do you want to reach and how much do you want to spend reaching them? Remember, most of your recruiting will happen at your parties, so don't go haywire on spending. Some of these ads are longer, some shorter. Go with what fits your budget and your target audience. Need tips? Just give me a call or send an email!

Important Tip
For classifieds ads that run A to Z, start your ad as close to 'A' as possible, or start with a number if the paper will list digits higher than letters. Example words/phrases to kick off your advertisement: "Attention", "Autumn Special", "1-2-3 Easy Money", et cetera.

Hi everyone,

Thank you Lisa! My tips for sponsoring are:

• First, always show your excitement for HGP at all times because you never know who is watching. Even if you are having a bad month, don't ever show it. Sometimes the people who are the closest to you are interested in the HGP Opportunity and they are carefully watching how well you will do to decide if they will join.
• Advertise in your local newspaper under HELP WANTED for Home and Garden Party Demonstrators. Note from Lisa: See the Design Your Destiny Team website for sample ads in the next few days!
• Farmers markets and craft fairs are also great places for sponsoring leads.
• Your greatest place to find sponsoring leads are at your parties. When you explain your hostess benefits and you give examples on $500.00 dollar parties, make sure you tell party guests what you make on a $500.00 dollar party.
• I love the ask me game!!! It has been my greatest lead for recruits.
